VYJ’s My Community Cares Program Adds Two New Parent Café Dates

Shreveport, LA — July 11, 2024 — My Community Cares, a program of Volunteers for Youth Justice, is pleased to announce two events coming up later this month. The theme for our latest Parent Café is ‘Lettuce Taco ‘Bout You.’ These engaging sessions provide caregivers of minor children with a supportive environment to connect, share experiences, and access valuable resources.

The upcoming ‘Lettuce Taco ‘Bout You’ Parent Café will be held on July 22nd at Common Ground and July 23rd at David Raines Recreation Center. Each session will feature complimentary food and opportunities to win door prizes and gift cards. Due to limited space, RSVPs are required.

“We’re excited to continue offering the Parent Café series to support our community of caregivers,” said Kreesha Bennett, Parish Director of My Community Cares, at Volunteers for Youth Justice. “These sessions are a vital resource for nurturing healthy families and fostering meaningful connections.”
