Volunteers for Youth Justice (VYJ) is excited to announce the upcoming Be Strong Parent Cafe, hosted by My Community Cares. This engaging event will take place on Tuesday, September 24th, from 5 PM to 6:30 PM at the David Raines Recreation Center located at 2920 Round Grove Lane, Shreveport, LA 71107.
If you are a parent or caregiver, we invite you to join us for an evening of meaningful conversation and community support. Our September theme, “Pulling the Ones You Love Closer: Making Your Home a Refuge,” encourages parents to explore ways to create a nurturing environment for their families.
This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with other parents, share experiences, and gain valuable insights in a relaxed setting. Enjoy a complimentary meal while participating in discussions that matter to you and your loved ones. Plus, attendees will have a chance to win one of several exciting door prizes!
About My Community Cares (MCC):
MCC neighborhood, parish, and state teams meet regularly to enhance communication between community members and agency partners. Their efforts focus on identifying and removing barriers to quality services, advocating for change, promoting racial and socio-economic equity, and building a network of services and supports that are unique to each community.
About Volunteers for Youth Justice (VYJ):
VYJ is a volunteer-based, community-supported non-profit organization whose mission is to provide a community caring for children, youth, and families in crisis. By mobilizing volunteers and resources, VYJ works to create positive outcomes for youth and families in our community.
