VYJ’s Haunt the Harbor Fall Festival Set for Friday, October 25th
Volunteers for Youth Justice is excited to announce the inaugural Haunt the Harbor fall festival, taking place on Friday, October 25th, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at The Harbor, located at 3004 Knight Street, Building 6, Shreveport, LA 71105. This first-time event is free for families ready to get in the community “spirit” and will feature free trick-or-treating and hot dogs, chips, and drinks for the first 500 attendees!
Thanks to the generous support of Rice and Kendig Injury Lawyers and Wieland Construction, Haunt the Harbor promises to be a memorable experience for attendees of all ages. The fall festival will showcase all six of Volunteers for Youth Justice’s essential programs: Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), Families in Need of Service (FINS), My Community Cares (MCC), Truancy Assessment and Service Center (TASC), Youth Empowerment Center (YEC), and Youth Programs.
In addition to our VYJ programs, families will have the chance to connect with various local organizations and services housed at The Harbor, including:
- Access and Opportunity Links
- Brighter Future Counseling Services
- Caddo Parish Schools – Security Department Division of Mental Health, Wellness, and Safe Schools
- The Center for Children and Families
- Child Well-Being Department
- Choices Coordinated Care Solutions
- Faith and Fostering
- FREE Coalition to End Human Trafficking in Northwest Louisiana
